Paphos is a busy resort with plenty to do for all the family. There is a waterpark, go-karting and plenty of watersports available e.g. water-skiing, diving, wind surfing and sailing.
Secret Valley and Tsada 18 hole golf courses are both a 15 minute drive away.

For the culture vultures there are a number of historic sites such as the Tombs of the Kings and the House of Dionysos Mosaics and a little further away Kolossi Castle and the Curium Amphitheatre.

The town of Paphos is in two parts. The old town Bano (Upper) Paphos is the administrative centre and is also excellent for shopping. The shops open from 9am until 1 or 2pm Monday to Friday and again at 4 or 5pm until 8 or 9pm. On saturday they are open in the morning only. There is a market every weekday morning and there are numerous cafes where you can sit and enjoy breakfast, coffee or lunch overlooking views of Kato (Lower) Paphos.
Kato Paphos is the main resort area with a picturesque harbour, 16th Century Venetian fort and a small amphitheatre where open air concerts are still often performed.

There are numerous bars, restaurants and shops on and around the beach road. Buses run along the front every 10 minutes, are very cheap and travel as far as Coral Bay where there are very good beaches. It is possible to catch a bus from the harbour up to the old town and market.
Boat trips leave the harbour most days.

Nightlife is centered around Bar Street where there are nightclubs and music bars. The many excellent restaurants offer a variety of cuisine including Italian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican and Fish & Chips, as well as the traditional Greek fare. Many of the Greek restaurants have Greek nights with live music and dancing every week.

If you fancy venturing further afield, trips to Limassol , the islands largest seaside resort, and up into the Troodos mountains are a must. The capitol Nicosia is also worth a visit. There are several jeep safaris available to the uninhabited parts of the island and Paphos is an excellent base for bird watching.
